Someone in my life was prescribed adderall and/or Ritalin a number of years ago. This was a few years after she recovered from alcohol abuse. She lost a drastic amount of weight (not sure if this was before or after prescription). Trouble seemed to start when she started having seizures. She was monitored in a hospital and found not to have epilepsy and never told why she was having them. I heard these could be a symptom of adderall abuse... I know she was on them at this time.
It's been so long I'm not even sure who the "real" her is anymore. She's extremely hyper all the time, can't take in information, and get's easily agitated. She SWEARS on her life that she's not on prescription drugs anymore, but I can't believe this is how her body acts normally...
She is now on a "hunt" to determine all the reasons she is having what she calls strange symptoms everyday. She is determined she has some sort of illness that the doctors can't identify and has my family believing her and in twists trying to figure out what the "disease" is. She says she gets rashes everywhere and bruises. She gets headaches often. She's so hyper but sometimes sleeps for days (I'm assuming this is when she's off adderall and withdrawling). She claim she has "little white worms" crawling out of her skin. I'm assuming this is drug induced delusion but another person in my family claims he saw them too. She now says her skin itches all over "from the inside." She either has some zebra of a disease that no one has ever heard of or has mental health addiction issues... I'm the only one who seems to think its the 2nd.
Am I evil to not believe and think this is caused by prescription drug abuse? I feel like I'm the crazy one because I'm the only one who doesn't believe her... Why is my family so absolutely convinced this is not from adderall/ritalin?
